Microblading Procedure Overview
What is microblading?
Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing technique used to enhance the appearance of eyebrows.
Unlike tattooing which leaves you with a dense unnatural look, the microblading technique involves drawing individual, crisp hair strokes to simulate the appearance of real hair. The microblading tool uses Nano needles that allow for detailed work. The extremely fine strokes blend with your existing hair resulting in a full and completely natural looking eyebrow. If you have no eyebrow hair, shading is recommended.
Once the Microblading is fully healed, it is very low maintenance. You can rub your brows, wash your face, and even enjoy water sports. You can wake up every morning with perfect eyebrows!
Microblading With Shading
Microblading with shading, also known as combo brows, is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing technique that enhances the eyebrows by combining fine, hair-like strokes with soft shading for added depth and dimension. This advanced procedure creates a more defined yet natural look by blending the crispness of microblading with the softness of shading, mimicking the appearance of fuller, well-groomed brows.
Should I add shading?
Shading is ideal for:
Clients with thin or patchy brows who want a fuller appearance.
Those with oily or combination skin, as shading helps prolong results.
Anyone who loves the look of powder-filled or softly defined brows.
Individuals looking for a longer-lasting brow enhancement with lower maintenance.
Microblading with shading offers the best of both worlds, creating natural-looking yet well-defined brows tailored to your preferences. Whether you want soft, airy brows or a more structured finish, this technique can be customized to suit your unique style.
Powder Brows
Powder Brows are a semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing technique that creates a soft, powdered makeup look. Unlike microblading, which uses hair-like strokes, powder brows are achieved through a shading technique that gradually builds color for a fuller, more defined appearance. This method gives the brows a beautifully blended effect, resembling the look of filled-in brows with eyebrow powder or pencil. This is more gentle on the skin and is often the best procedure for elderly clients or those lacking collagen in their skin.
Who Should Get Powder Brows?
Clients who prefer a soft, filled-in look, similar to brow makeup.
Those with oily or combination skin, where microblading strokes may fade or blur quickly.
Anyone with sparse or thin brows who wants more density and definition.
Individuals looking for a lower-maintenance solution that requires fewer touch-ups over time.
Powder Brows provide a flawless, polished brow with a gentle gradient effect that enhances your natural features. Whether you want a soft enhancement or a bold, defined brow, this technique is fully customizable to achieve your desired look.
Who is permanent makeup for?
Permanent makeup is perfect for anyone who wants to fully reconstruct, define, cover any gaps, or just fill in over plucked brows. It doesn't matter if you like your brows straight and bold or arched and feathered. Your eyebrows are the most important facial feature. During your appointment, we will shape and style your brows using a process called facial mapping to achieve the most natural look for YOUR face.
procedure timing
The entire appointment lasts about 1.5 hours.
The first part involves facial measurement and drawing of the eyebrow shape with a removable marker. This is the most important step where we will work closely to perfect the ideal set of brows for your face. With the structure of the brows defined, I will then meticulously draw each stroke to give you your desired look. After the outline, a numbing cream is applied and reapplied throughout the procedure to make the process as comfortable as possible.
It takes approximately 7-14 days for the brows to heal over and about 1 month for the color to fully set in. After 6 weeks, a touch up session is necessary as everyone heals differently and the outcome will vary.
HOW long does it last?
Microblading typically lasts 1-3 years depending on skin type and skincare routine. To maintain fresh looking brows, a touch up is suggested every 1-2 years. Shading can add longevity to the eyebrows, allowing more time between appointments.
